Founder

                       Ayesha Siddiqua Shelley

Ms. Ayesha is a Bangladeshi government official, diplomat, author, social activist, and philanthropist who is the founder and head of the advisory committee of the Blue Sky Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization operating to help disadvantaged breast cancer patients in Bangladesh.

                                                            Early Life and Education:

Ms. Ayesha was born in Magura, Bangladesh and attended Sammilani High School, Magura where she was the top student in her class year. She graduated from the University of Dhaka with a major in Public Administration and also received a Master of Social Sciences from the institution. She later completed an LLB (Bachelor of Law Degree) from South-East University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

                                                                   Professional Life:

In 1999, Ms. Ayesha joined the Bangladesh Civil Service, which is the civil service of the Government of Bangladesh and joined the Taxation service of the government. She worked as Joint Commissioner of Taxes in Bangladesh until 2014. During her work with the government’s taxation service, she helped to advance the country’s revenue collection and assisted in the development of the country’s financial arena.

Since August 2014, Ms. Ayesha has been working as a Counsellor Labour in Bangladesh High Commission, Singapore.  Her role is to provide leadership to the foreign manpower from Bangladesh in Singapore and to look after their welfare and interests. Her role also includes collaborating with different local, national, and international organizations to upgrade work positions and protect the labour rights of Bangladeshi workers in Singapore. She is also responsible for creating new job opportunities and in monitoring and evaluating workplace accidents, illegal activities and in protecting the rights of 1,50,000 Bangladeshi nationals in Singapore.

                                                                     Literary Career:

She has four publication of poetry books which were published by renowned publishers in Bangladesh: 1. Rupali Joshanae Eka (All alone in silver moonlight), 2. Durer Akash (Faraway Sky), 3. Annay Manabi (Other Woman), 4. Khuji Tomake (Finding You). She received the Bangladesh National Poetry Council Award -2011 in recognition of her extraordinary literary works.

Ms. Ayesha also has multiple publications in printed media of Bangladesh which pivot on different socio-economic issues in Bangladesh. Some of her publications include:

                                                       The Blue Sky Charitable Foundation:

In May 2016, Ms. Ayesha founded the Blue Sky Charitable Foundation which is a non-profit and non-political charitable organization dedicated to providing the most reliable, complete and up to date information regarding awareness and treatment facilities to cancer patients especially for Breast cancer patients in Bangladesh and its region. Ms. Ayesha, who is herself a breast cancer survivor, started her movement after the tragic demise of her elder sister from breast cancer on 2016 who was also a diplomat in Bangladesh High Commission, Singapore. The Blue Sky Charitable was formed on 26th May 2016 as a charitable foundation and was approved as an institution of a public character in Bangladesh.

Under her leadership, The Blue Sky Charitable Foundation (BSCF) has expanded its role to provide help and inspire those affected by Breast cancer and their loved ones. The aim of the foundation is to create awareness on early detection and complex medical procedures and to provide information about breast health and breast cancer. The foundation is focused on helping those who are financially disadvantaged, especially women, by giving them the support to cope during a very difficult period of life.

                                                                              Personal life:

Ms. Ayesha has one Daughter, Bijetri who is studying undergraduate economics at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Singapore. Her daughter is the Executive Director of her foundation (BSCF).
